About

John Bunyan was a humble tinker in 17th century England who experienced a profound conversion to Christianity.  He became a prominent evangelist, urging people everywhere he went to repent and be saved, and as a result was jailed for 12 years under the guise of “anti terrorism” laws.

While in prison he wrote many books, the most well known being Pilgrim’s Progress, which has been translated into many languages and paraphrased several times in modern English.  I could be wrong, but I believe only one other of his books, The Holy War, has a modern English paraphrase – the rest of his books are only available in the antiquated English of his day, which is inaccessible to many readers today.

I believe John would have wanted everyone to benefit from his inspirational writings without the hindrance of a language barrier.  Therefore I decided to devote part of my lengthy workday commute to  rewording some of these books, to the best of my ability, and make them available for anyone to download and read.
